Quality Control North West has been providing a wide range of quality control services to both public and private healthcare customers, founded in the 1980s and part of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust based at Stepping Hill Hospital.

   Head of QCNW – Diane Rigge

    Diane brings 28 years of experience to QCNW, joining the organisation as a graduate chemist working across both QC and R&D. Over the     course of her career, she has continued to advance her expertise, completing an MSc in Pharmaceutical Analysis and a Level 5 qualification in     Management Studies. She has since become a member of the Chartered Manager Institute and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

    In 2019, Diane was appointed Head of QCNW, where she leads the team with a strong focus on scientific excellence, operational quality, and     continuous improvement

   Deputy Head of QCNW – Jennifer Roberts

   Jen manages the team of Advanced Scientists and assists Diane in the operational and future running of QCNW, whithin which she acts as a             customer liaison to coordinate the workloads and requirements across all departments.

   Jen is also our Compliance Manager who leads key aspects of Quality at QCNW such as working with the Compliance Team to maintain and             develop the quality system to ensure QCNW delivers reliable, high‑quality, and repeatable testing to our customers while maintianing our                     continued compliance with our MHRA regulations and UKAS accreditations.

   Advanced Scientist Special Projects – Emma Berry

   Emma has an MSc in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance and uses this knowledge, along with regulatory guidance, to develop    and deliver internal GMP training sessions department wide. Emma has previous experience in managing the Chemistry, R&D and                               Microbiology laboratories, and assists with current management as well as advising on quality matters. 

   Emma is a senior member of the Compliance Team and has responsibilities in Quality System maintenance and updates. As part of this, Emma    assists with the performance of supplier and internal audits. Alongside the Compliance Manager, Emma leads on quality improvements and    change management.

   Advanced Scientist Business Development and Performance – Joshua Gettins

   Josh began performing analytical testing in the chemistry laboratory in 2018, developing through the QC and R&D departments, aiding in                     validating and handling our IT systems, eventually running the QC laboratory. He is now a part of the Advanced Scientist team, working with the         other members and senior management to improve our systems.

    Alongside his role, Josh is completing a Digital Marketing Degree Apprenticeship, contributing to our online presence through social media,                  brand management, and digital communications. His work is reflected across our LinkedIn page, website, and email communications.Josh is              also a primary point of contact for enquiries submitted directly or via our website and coordinates new project introductions and quoting. He also          oversees our internal IT support and website management.

   Advanced Scientist Chemistry – Christopher Roberts

   Chris first joined QCNW working in the microbiology lab before progressing up into an analytical role in Chemistry and eventually managing the           Research and Development team, leading the development of numerous stabiliy assessments and method validations ot ICH standards.

   His role as Advanced Scientist for Chemistry is to ensure the smooth running of the testing laboratory, utilising over 15 years of hands on                     experience and knowledge from his time in every part of the lab to ensure your samples are tested precisely as they should be.

   Managing the chemistry laboratory also means that he is responsible for overseeing the release of pharmaceutical products to the standards               outlined by both the MHRA and UKAS, as well as enabling our Senior Scientists in Chemistry to get the best out of and for our team.

   Advanced Scientist Microbiology – Gillian Stokes

    Gillian is the Advanced Scientist for the site testing and microbiology testing laboratory. Her main role is to ensure that the smooth running of the      service and laboratory using her experience of over 20 years.

    Managing the microbiology laboratory means that she is responsible for overseeing the release of environmental monitoring     results, pharmaceuticals tests, and site testing reports to the standards outlined by the MHRA and UKAS. flesh out (not preston)
