Quality Control North West is an NHS organisation providing a comprehensive range of research and scientific services to the NHS, other public bodies, private healthcare customers and the pharmaceutical industry.
We have laboratories at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust and at the Pharmacy Practice Unit at Liverpool. Services include environmental monitoring, quality control and batch release testing, stability determination of aseptically prepared medicines, other research and development formulation studies and quality assurance advice and support.
Quality Control North West laboratories are approved by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) as providers of quality control laboratory services and are individually accredited under the UKAS scheme (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) to the ISO/EIC 17025;2005 standard.
Organisational charts for scientist teams at the Stockport and Liverpool laboratories show the extensive expertise available to service users of either site.
Quality Control North West works closely with North West Regional QA Service and with pharmacy professionals in NW aseptic and production units.
